About the project
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Building type: Holiday Village on the Black Sea
Surface: 64 798 m²
Project: 2012–2017
Saint Vlas has a unique situation on the Black Sea Coast as it lies on the southern slope at the foot of the Stara Planina Mountain with a magnificent view to the old Nesebar, which is a part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
The new complex will be built in the upper part of the village and will be connected to the marina and the sea by a cabin lift, which is an original public transport for a sea resort.
The project provides for the construction of 900 eco-friendly apartments with a GDA of almost 65,000 m². They all have sea view and benefit from the proximity of the mountain forest and the extraordinary microclimate.
The residential districts are situated on two neighboring hills, each one composed around an oval public square. Beneath, there is an underground parking on 3 levels with natural light, provided via the court with vegetation and trees.
The oval residences fit harmoniously in the steep slope, while the restaurants, shops and the swimming pools transform the squares into lively multifunctional urban spaces.
